The Operatives have one great Annual Assembly which every Mason is bound to attend if possible, as pointed out in Article 23 of the Charge to Fellows of the Craft of Free Mason.  United States of America Region OPERATIVE FREEMASONRY. THE WORD "MASON" was the name of a workman in the building Craft in the Middle Ages.
